Penkridge Ladies (2010/11 season to date)

Penkridge Ladies (season to date)

After kicking off the 25th year Anniversary of PJFC the ladies have once again shown why they are the clubs most successful team.

In a campaign which has been stop-start due to postponements of games, when called on they have risen to the challenge, losing only three games all season.

Currently lying 3rd in the league with a game in hand and being 6 points off the top and still having to play second placed Lightwood Foley there is an air of optimism around that this season is far from over for the ladies.

With the title still in the balance, the team then had to turn there attention to the cup and a good run has seen them comprehensively beat all who stood in there way and reach the league cup final, which will be a first for many of the team as it will be played mid-week, under floodlights at Wryley, and now only top-of-the-league Chasetown stand between the Ladies and another winners trophy.

Yes, on the pitch Penkridge Ladies are always up there fighting for top accolades, but away from it they are a great bunch to work with, always laughing and joking and are constantly praised by opposition managers and parents for there team spirit and the discipline they show. A credit to Penkridge Juniors.

Arguably one of the greatest teams to wear the famous Yellow and Blue in the 25 year history.
